Why Do We Dismiss Early on Thursday?

We value the notion of continuous improvement. This is accomplished by lengthening the instructional minutes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays. This gives the staff an opportunity to collaborate on ways to improve the overall instructional program for our students.

Portola School is very concerned about student attendance and punctuality.

Students are marked tardy if they are not in class by 8:15am (9:05am for kinder late birds).
Please take vacations during non-school days.
